The Aberdeen Roman Angus Association is set to host the 2026 European Angus Forum (EAF) next week.
Described by organizers as “the most prestigious event dedicated to Aberdeen Angus breeders in Europe”, it aims to bring together Angus breeders as well as farmers and industry experts from across Europe and beyond.

The forum aims to provide a platform for discussion and collaboration opportunities around “the future of sustainable beef production, advances in genetics, and the development of premium beef markets.”
According to the Aberdeen Angus Association in Romania, there are more than 135,600 head of Aberdeen Angus cows and about 1,920 breeders in the country.

Romania has approximately 4.8 million hectares of permanent grasslands, which “play an important role not only in food production but also in conserving biodiversity, supporting rural communities and preserving traditional agricultural landscapes.”
During the forum, participants will have the opportunity to visit farms and processing units that are part of Angus beef production systems in Romania.
EAF 2026 will start in the city of Cluj-Napoca in the Transylvania region of Romania on May 11 and conclude in Bucharest on May 18.
According to organizers, international participants from Europe, Australia, Asia, Africa, South America and North America will visit:
- Breeding farms and finishing units;
- Bull testing stations and modern slaughterhouses;
- Livestock exhibitions displaying genetic lines developed in Romania.
The European Angus Forum International Conference 2026 will be held at the Novotel Hotel, Bucharest, on Sunday 17 May.
