“Finding Satoshi,” directed by Matthew Milley and Tucker Tully, follows a four-year investigation by author William Cohan and private investigator Tyler Maroney into the identity of Bitcoin’s creator.
Cohan, known for his books on power structures and financial crises on Wall Street, is teaming up with Maroney, co-founder of Quest Research &Investigations who focuses on high-profile, cryptocurrency-related issues. The documentary follows their work interviewing industry figures including Michael Saylor, alongside forensic analysis and reviews of old theories.
The film examines the origins and impact of Bitcoin while searching for a definitive answer to the question of Satoshi’s identity. “Finding Satoshi” is scheduled to be released online on April 22.
