More than €5.6 million in farm scheme payments were released this week


The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) issued an update on various scheme payments made to farmers this week.

More than €5.6 million was paid to farmers this week under a number of schemes.

The Ministry confirmed that under the Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and the Free Redistributed Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS) 2025, €262,929 was paid this week.

To date, more than €845 million has been paid to 119,277 farmers through these schemes.

The BISS/CRISS figure includes the 2025 supplementary income support for young farmers of €38.4 million and the 2025 national reserve of €3 million, the ministry said.

Under the Agricultural and Climate Rural Environment Scheme (ACRES) this week, €2.11 million was paid.

Under the 2025 Areas of Natural Constraints (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraints (ASC), farmers received €51,455 this week.

Under the National Sheep Welfare Program 2025, €180,239 was paid this week.

€133,944 of payments were made under the OA scheme this week.

Tams

The latest data from the DAFM shows that more than €2.8 million has been released to farmers for targeted agricultural modernization schemes (Tams 3) this week.

The TAMS programme, co-financed by the European Union, provides grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified set of buildings and agricultural equipment on their property.

Under TAMS 3, 48,432 approvals have been issued to date, with 20,703 payment requests submitted and a total of 17,911 payments made.

Total TAMS 3 disbursements now amount to more than €164 million.

Under TAMS II, 54,013 were paid this week.
