Available on the Apple App Store, Bitcoinist.App gives people a simple way to learn how Bitcoin mining works, access real hashing power, create private Bitcoin mining pools, and receive payments directly to the wallet they control. The setup uses Sign in with Apple, and users can get started from their iPhone without purchasing mining hardware or entering payment information.
Most people will never run a miner at home. In some regions, especially parts of the developing world, high room temperatures can cause mining equipment to overheat, while the electricity needed to run air conditioners around the clock can make home mining prohibitively expensive. The noise and constant power draw of the miner adds to the barrier. In many parts of the world, people access the Internet primarily through mobile data on a phone, without a practical wired connection to dedicated mining equipment. The actual miner also needs a stable network connection. Bitcoinist.App reduces those barriers with a simple iOS interface for learning about Bitcoin and directing real hashing power hosted remotely through three modes:
- Learn and unlock. Built-in Bitcoin Academy offers a 31-lesson video curriculum that explains Bitcoin and mining in practical terms. Tutorial videos and optional reward ads can provide free mining rental time, so users can start mining from day one without having to purchase.
- Rent or call. Paid access is provided through an in-app subscription. Users can access hash power in 1 Tbps increments from miners hosted in data centers in the UAE and third-party facilities, or from capacity provided through third-party hash power marketplaces. Mining not working on iPhone. The app is a simple control layer to the real hash power, and prices are published in the app. Support for connecting user-owned devices, including home miners such as Bitaxe, is planned.
- The road and the pool. Users can create a private mining pool, invite friends and family to combine hashing power, and compete with the global hash rate. They can also mine solo or direct miners to the ocean pool for more consistent payouts.
Bitcoinist.App is not subject to detention at all. There is no internal balance for the wallet or platform. Users choose a self-custodial external wallet for payments; The extracted Bitcoin is sent to this address instead of being kept within the app. Bitcoinist.App does not keep the user’s private keys or the funds extracted.
Bitcoinist.App provides education and learning infrastructure, and is not a yield product, investment scheme or custodial wallet. An in-app subscription or ad-supported access saves mining time, not Bitcoin and not the promised return. Mining results depend on network difficulty, pool performance, transaction fees, and published hash power. Some hosting capacity and hashing power come from third parties, so availability and performance can vary by provider. Nothing in this version guarantees any amount of Bitcoin mined.
