Open Bitcoin, combined Golf The poker tournament, organized by Bitcoin Sports Network and Satstreet, is scheduled to be held on June 8, 2026, at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario. The event will be held at the club during its 50th anniversary.
Glen Abbey Golf Club, designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1976, is one of Canada’s most iconic golf courses. It has hosted the Canadian Open several times and is known for its championship-level design and history in professional golf. Located about 30 minutes west of Toronto, the course is a public golf course with a significant legacy in Canadian sports.
The Bitcoin Open consists of a scramble-style golf tournament on the main tournament course during the day, followed by a Texas Hold’em poker tournament in the evening. The golf portion uses a scramble team format, usually with groups of four players. The field size is limited, with organizers noting strong demand and a reduced number of team places remaining from mid-May 2026.
Prizes for this event include two separate prizes, each consisting of one Bitcoin. Bonus golf prizes cover the longest and closest distance to the pin. The golf winners will also receive tickets to the 2027 Bitcoin Golf Championship, scheduled to be held in Nashville, Tennessee, before the 2027 Bitcoin Conference. The winner of the poker tournament receives $5,000 CAD in stablecoins.

The list of pit sponsors for the event has been announced. These companies include APX Lending, Tetra Digital Group, The Canadian Bitcoin Conference, Satstreet, True North Airways, Ledn, Gator Mining Inc., Wealthsimple, CAD DIGITAL, PRIVATEDEBT Partners, McCarthy Tetrault, and Samara Asset Group.
Bitcoin Sports Network acts as an organizer of Bitcoin-themed sporting and lifestyle events, including golf tournaments held in conjunction with major Bitcoin conferences. Satstreet, a Canadian company focused on Bitcoin, is co-hosting the event and serving as one of the pit sponsors. The two organizations are collaborating on this Canadian edition of The Bitcoin Open.
The event is open to participants from the Bitcoin community, including builders, investors and others active in the industry. Registration is done through The official website of the eventwith tickets covering golf and poker components. The schedule includes in-course activities, meals and networking periods at the venue.
This is the first time the Bitcoin Open has been held at Glen Abbey. Previous Bitcoin Sports Network golf events have been held at locations such as Vegasis often timed near large Bitcoin conferences. The Canadian event is positioned as an independent rally in the Toronto area.
The 50th anniversary of Glen Abbey provides additional context to the timing. Since its opening, the club has become an essential part of Canadian golf, training professionals and hosting amateur and professional competitions.
