How to turn your screen into customizable charts
First, create an inventory screen using the filters you already know, and then click Charts button To display each matching stock as a chart.
For example, turn on the Momentum Breakout screen, switch to the charts view, and see 50 stocks as charts in one view. Instead of reviewing indicators one row at a time, turn your entire screen into a set of charts. This makes it easy to examine price action, recognize patterns, and identify stocks worth a closer look.
Customize vetted stock charts
Adjust each chart in your screen to match your strategy and preferred look. If you trade with multiple monitors or a vertical display, you now have the controls to design the perfect layout. Click Customize To control:
- Ranges: Choose from predefined ranges including daily, weekly, monthly and beyond.
- Tape size: Choose from Very Small to Very Large to control the amount of chart detail that appears on screen.
- Height chart: Resize charts to create a compact overview or a larger, more detailed view.
- Custom: For advanced traders, and those with multiple monitors or large displays, this feature allows you to go beyond presets and create a chart layout with ultimate detail.
Go deeper with custom chart layouts
For more control, click Custom Inside the Screener Chart Settings to adjust more advanced details for each chart.
Choose the exact number of bars using the precision slider, adjust bar width and margin, add or remove chart borders, and set exact chart height. Every change is updated in real time, giving you complete control over how your sorting charts fit across your workstation.
In the screenshot below, you can see that we adjusted the chart width, height, number of bars, and borders to make the charts stack on top of each other and stretch across the page. On a vertical display, this custom design fits perfectly:
Combine custom layouts and chart designs
Once you’ve created the perfect design, you can combine it with any saved template from our site Advanced charts. Customize everything from colors and candlestick patterns to chart types and indicators, then apply the full design to every chart on your screen within Layout.
Simply select a saved design from model Your menu and sorting schemes will match the exact look, layout and visual order of your entire Finviz workspace. Here are some blue charts we have prepared:
