A New York man is facing charges after posing as a legitimate customer and withdrawing $1 million from Huntington National Bank in less than three months.
Jarvis Davis, a resident of the Bronx, New York, was charged with six counts of felony identity theft and two counts of obtaining property by false pretenses worth $100,000 or more. Reports WXII 12 News.
Authorities say Huntington National Bank suddenly reported the fraud on Jan. 24 after discovering that Davis had made unauthorized transactions between Nov. 25, 2025, and Jan. 14, 2026. Police say Davis visited the Ohio-based bank multiple times while posing as a legitimate customer and made withdrawals and transfers worth up to $1 million.
Police say they cooperated with the Forsyth County District Attorney’s Office to obtain arrest warrants for Davis on May 1. Authorities say the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Davis in New York on June 23. Police say they extradited Davis to Forsyth County on July 9 and gave him outstanding warrants at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center.
Authorities are now urging the public if they have any information about Davis and the incidents to call the Winston-Salem Police Department’s emergency number at 336-773-7700.
The judge set Davis’ bail at $3 million secured.
