A Russian national was reportedly kidnapped in Bali and held for about 30 hours until he gave up access to his cryptocurrency account, according to local police.
Bali police are now investigating the case and are pursuing the perpetrators, who fled after throwing the victim outside the hospital.
How did the cryptocurrency hijacking unfold in Bali?
The victim, identified by the initials AI, was stopped near Pecatu in South Kuta on July 2 at around 9:35 p.m. Two masked men riding in a black Nissan Serena stopped his motorcycle as he was leaving his restaurant.
