Changing your NinjaTrader license disables third-party indicator access for the specified user’s licenses
Before we get started, this is not a sponsored post or anything like that. I am a NinjaTrader user and will pass this information on if you need it.

A licensing system change made by NinjaTrader on June 5 caused validation of third-party indicators to fail across multiple versions of platforms, leaving affected users unable to load their instruments from Friday evening until the weekend.
Users were being shown a “License Required” message on selected user licenses despite valid, unaffected licenses, with the issue continuing into Sunday evening as US futures markets reopened. NinjaTrader’s support desk was closed for the duration of the initial outage, meaning users did not have a direct channel to NinjaTrader for assistance during the outage.
The timing was particularly annoying for active traders, as the outage spanned an entire weekend and bleeding into the start of the new trading week, just as Globex markets came back online for Sunday evening sessions.
NinjaTrader restored functionality on Monday, but only for users running the latest version of the platform, version 8.1.7.1 or later. Users of previous versions that are still officially supported remain affected unless they upgrade. The indicators provider said it pushed NinjaTrader to implement a low-risk fix that would resolve the issue without requiring an upgrade, including escalating the request to NinjaTrader leadership, but said NinjaTrader has declined to act so far, with no firm commitment on when or if that position might change.
Selected User license holders are advised to update to NinjaTrader 8.1.7.1 or later via Control Center, and then restart the entire platform to restore normal indicator loading. For users who prefer not to upgrade immediately, due to potential compatibility considerations with existing custom indicator settings, it is recommended to contact support directly with the indicator provider rather than attempt workarounds independently.
Users on Device ID licenses are not affected throughout, as this activation method works independently of the disabled verification system, and no action is required for these users. The provider has indicated that it will continue to support Device ID licenses as is, while offering assistance to anyone wishing to move to a named user license on the latest version of NinjaTrader in the future.
