Investors should consider HALO stock for long-term investments, according to an equity strategist at Goldman Sachs.
aura It stands for “asset heavy, low obsolescence” and is a strategy that involves investing in stocks linked to sectors that are considered resilient to disruptions caused by artificial intelligence.
Sharon Bell is a senior European equity strategist at Goldman Sachs. He says In a new interview, HALO shares are poised to emerge as a “structural winner.”
“By that I mean things like utilities, telecoms, industrials, even energy companies that invest and have good assets and can make a return on those assets. And I think Europe has a lot of those assets. I also like our renewable energy companies and defense companies and airlines. And I think the technology sector in Europe is trading at a discount to similar companies elsewhere in the world.”
Bell also says bank stocks could see gains.
“We believe interest rates will be higher for longer and this will help the banking sector.”
The strategist says investors can get positive returns from European stocks, but she still believes US and Asian stocks will outperform.
“So we will have an outperformance in the US because they have large scale companies where we expect very good returns. And we’re looking for an economy that’s growing really well in the next couple of years in the US. So we think the US market continues to outperform Asia as well. We see (that) driven by earnings, driven by semi-equities, driven by the technology sector.”
