More than €3 million was issued to farmers in scheme payments this week


The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) issued an update on various scheme payments made to farmers this week.

More than €3.2 million was paid to farmers this week under a number of schemes.

The Ministry confirmed that under the Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) 2025 and the Free Redistributed Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS), €78,350 was paid this week.

To date, more than €845 million has been paid to 118,818 farmers through these schemes.

The BISS/CRISS figure includes the 2025 supplementary income support for young farmers of €38.4 million and the 2025 national reserve of €3.1 million, the ministry said.

Farm scheme payments

Under the 2025 Areas of Natural Constraints (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraints (ASC), farmers received €37,389 this week.

Under the Agricultural and Climate Rural Environment (ACRES) programme, €270,000 was paid this week.

Farmers in the organic farming scheme were paid €57,792.

Farmers in the 2025 straw consolidation measure received €49,675 this week.

Tams

The latest data from the DAFM shows that more than €2.7 million has been released to farmers for targeted agricultural modernization schemes (Tams 3) this week.

The TAMS programme, co-financed by the European Union, provides grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified set of buildings and agricultural equipment on their property.

Under TAMS 3, 48,616 approvals have been issued to date, with 20,912 payment requests submitted and a total of 18,236 payments made.

Total TAMS 3 payments now stand at more than €166.9 million.

Tranche 10 of the TAMS 3 program received 7,905 applications. DAFM figures show 3,953 approvals have been issued so far.
