How to create your own watchlist
First, you’ll need to set up a Koyfin account, which you can do here (No credit card needed). Once you’ve registered and logged in, we’ll be ready to get started.
Start your watchlist
Click here To get started, press + button. You can choose to start with a blank watchlist, import a CSV file, or use a template. For this directory, we’ll start with an empty one and give it a custom name.
Add bars
You can search for each bar or simply copy and paste multiple indicators using the “Import Stocks” option.
To save you time and make sure you’re starting with a strong list, here are some ticker lists from our “Best Stocks” articles:
- Best food stocks: SBUX, QSR, CMG, GRG, WING, SHAK, CAVA, MEX, KRUS
- Best luxury stocks: RACE, RMS, LVMHF, KER, BRBY, TPR, MONC, EL
Customize columns
Go to the column chooser and search directly or browse the left menu.
Here are some recommended metrics:
- industry
- Next earnings date
- Estimate Revenue Y/Y Change (Fiscal Year 1)
- Average Analyst Ratings (1-5)
Columns can be added, deleted, renamed, reordered, and sorted to suit your needs.
Organize your watch list
A well-organized watch list enhances clarity and speeds up analysis.
- Sort by market value: Prioritizing stocks based on their size.
- Group by industry: This helps in segmenting stocks for better analysis.
- Add an “Average” summary row.: This can be more useful than averages in some cases. Right-click on any summary number to hide individual summaries if necessary.
Integrate financial news
Click “News” at the top right of your watchlist to get news updates, earnings transcripts, and press releases for stocks on your watchlist. Choose from different news sources or remove specific sources to customize your feed.
Access to historical charts
You can get technical, fundamental and valuation charts for your watchlist stocks right in the Historical Charts tab.
Click the Charts tab in the left sidebar to expand it and select Historical Chart. Next, click on the watchlist icon on the right sidebar (second icon) and select the desired watchlist from the drop-down list. Click any row from your watchlist to create a detailed historical graph. Customize your chart by adding different indicators.
Set up price alerts
Install the Koyfin app from the App Store or Google Play and sign in.
Go to the assets page for any stock and tap the bell icon in the top right corner. Click Add Alert to open the alarm setting dialog box. Choose terms such as above or below the current price, or set a specific target price. Select the alarm frequency (once, daily, etc.).
