The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) paid €1.68 million to farmers under Targeted Agricultural Modernization Schemes (TAMS 3) this week.
Tams Provides grants to farmers to build and/or improve a specified set of buildings and farm equipment on their property.
The latest data published by the department shows that 47,342 approvals have been issued so far for the TAMS 3 project.
20,280 payment requests were submitted, and 17,454 payments were made.
The total payments allocated under TAMS 3 now stand at around €160 million.
Scheme payments
The Department also paid an additional €251,085 this week under the Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) 2025 and the Free Redistributed Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS).
So far, 118,742 farmers have been granted a total of €844.3 million under these measures.
This figure includes the 2025 supplementary income support for young farmers of €38.2 million and the 2025 national reserve of €3 million.
An additional €891,705 was released this week for the 2025 Environmental Scheme, bringing the total amount paid to €307.58 million.

Data show that €91,135 was issued through the 2025 Areas of Natural Constraints (ANC) and Areas of Specific Constraints (ASC).
€80,000 was also paid to farmers through the Agricultural and Climate Rural Environment Program (ACRES).
€42,639 was paid to farmers in the Protein Assistance Scheme, while an additional €22,982 was issued to participants in the Organic Farming Scheme (OFS).
In addition, €6,435 was paid under the Red Clover Program and €3,258 for the Management of Multiple Species (MSS) programme.
