commerce Registration opened today for The Grand Cup 2: Outlaws, a free simulation trading tournament with a prize pool of $1,000,000. This format combines a five-day open qualifier with a single elimination bracket of 1,024 traders and a $5,000 bonus for each of the 24 invited “outlaw” competitors. Registration is now open at tradeify.co/grandcup; Qualifying takes place from May 17 to 22, with racing taking place on May 26 until the championship on June 5.
The Boca Raton-based support company has paid more than 200 million dollars For funded traders since its launch in 2024. Grand Cup 2 is the second edition of the tournament, following the inaugural Grand Cup in 2025.
How does the format work?
Participation in the qualifiers is free. Participants trade a simulated account of $50,000 with a withdrawal of $2,500 over five trading days, with a maximum of one mini-lot or ten mini-lots. Rankings are based on final account balance, and the top 1,000 traders advance to the category.
In the Head-to-head stage, qualifiers are paired against each other in one-day showdowns on a new $50,000 USD simulation account with no withdrawal rule. Whichever trader has a higher ending balance advances. Both traders must make at least three trades and hold each one for longer than ten seconds per match. Failure to meet this condition is an automatic forfeit.
The arc cuts the field in half every day. The first day takes 1,024 traders to 512, the second day to 256, and so on. The latter two will face off on June 5 to crown the champion.
Outlaws and bounty
Twenty-four traders, carefully selected by Tradeify, will enter the category directly as Outlaws. Any dealer who removes one of the outlaws receives a $5,000 reward in addition to his round prize money.
Prize pool
The total prize pool is $1,000,000. The winner gets $200,000. The remaining $800,000 is paid out in installments of $80,000 across the ten elimination rounds, divided equally among the traders eliminated in each round.
This puts $80,000 in the runner-up’s pocket, $40,000 for each of the semi-finalists, and $20,000 for each of the four quarter-finalists.
Platforms, tools and resets
Grand Cup 2 will be on NinjaTrader/Tradovate and Rithmic-based platforms such as Tradesea. Each participant uses one account. Eligible participants who have corrupted their accounts can reset up to three times at $29 per reset. Resets are available during the playoff window only; Not available during the arc.
Suspension from leadership
Brett Simberkoff, CEO, Tradeify: “The Grand Cup is the most fun thing we do all year. And last year proved it. Traders flock when the format is fair, the rules are clear, and the prize is huge! This year we wanted to up the stakes – literally – by inviting twenty-four of the best traders we know to compete with a big red target on their backs. If you knock one down? You get a big reward that pays out instantly. This is the kind of competition our community wants to see. Think about it. Gladiator…..but better.”
