A JPMorgan Chase employee is facing charges of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the bank’s clients while working as an associate banker at the trillion-dollar bank.
According to To the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency of the US Department of the Treasury, Shaira Ahmed embezzled $73,200 from JPMorgan Chase client accounts while working as an assistant banker at the Richmond Hill branch of the largest US bank, in New York.
“Due to the conduct in question, the defendant (Ahmed) engaged in violations of the law, which resulted in financial gain to the defendant and loss or risk of loss to the bank. The defendant’s misconduct demonstrated a breach of personal trust.”
The OCC says Ahmed embezzled the funds over a period of approximately two months between January 15, 2025, and March 22, 2025.
