- Solana has hinted at the possibility of integrating XRP, sparking a strong reaction across the XRP community.
- The teaser has renewed interest in XRP’s encapsulated infrastructure and Solana’s broader push to support more real and native crypto assets.
Solana It sparked another round of market speculation, this time with a short post that was enough to get… XRP The community moves almost immediately.
In a message published on X, Team Solana shared a video titled “XRP,” a teaser that many took as a sign that the Ripple token could gain a deeper foothold on the network. He arrives at the position as Solana continues to push more ambitiously to become what he has called the capital market for every asset on Earth.
A small teaser that opens up a bigger question about integration
The post itself did not confirm the official launch or technical integration. But in cryptocurrencies, brief signals from official accounts are rarely treated as unofficial. This was especially true here, because Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana, also reacted to the post, giving the impression that plans around XRP might be further than a simple social media joke.
The most likely explanation is not the release of the original XRP on Solana, but a renewed effort around a wrapped version of the original. This path would be more practical and, frankly, more consistent with how Solana already handles many non-native codes.
Wrapped XRP already exists, but adoption has been poor
There’s actually some history behind this. Last year, Hex Trust teamed up with LayerZero to launch Wrapped XRP or WXRP across Solana and other networks including Ethereum. So the infrastructure is not entirely new.
What is noteworthy is that Solana’s reliance has remained limited so far. Most of the encrypted XRP supply ended up on Ethereum instead, leaving Solana with relatively little traction around the asset despite already hosting encrypted versions of other tokens such as Bitcoin, ether And like you.
This makes the latest teaser more interesting than it seems at first glance. It may not be a matter of inventing a new bridge from scratch. It may be a matter of trying again, but this time with more clear support from Solana himself.
For the XRP Army, that was enough to turn a vague hint into a vivid story. For Solana, this could be another step in his attempt to expand the list of assets he wants to flow through his network.
