Crypto.com Reveals $1 Million Bounties to CRO Fighters for UFC Fight in the White House

Crypto.com will co-present a UFC combat sports event on the grounds of the White House on June 14, celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with the largest payout pool for fighters ever in the sport, according to Weekend announcement From the UFC and the cryptocurrency exchange.

The exchange will distribute $1 million to selected fighters on the UFC Freedom 250 card, paid in CRO tokens. With CRO recently trading above $0.068, the pool currently represents approximately 14.6 million CRO tokens.

The fight card features lightweight champion Elia Topuria against interim champion Justin Gaethje in the main event, while former two-division champion Alex Pereira seeks an unprecedented third UFC title shot against Cyril Jean. The event will be broadcast on Paramount+ in the US, and coincides with the cryptocurrency exchange’s 10th anniversary.

“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Crypto.com’s 10th anniversary than by making history at the White House,” said Chris Marszalek, co-founder and CEO of Crypto.com. “We are thrilled to join our long-time partners at the UFC and serve as a participating partner of Freedom 250 – an event that transcends sports.”

The partnership between Crypto.com and the UFC dates back to 2021, when the exchange became the sport’s first official fighting gear partner. The two companies have also collaborated on official UFC digital collectibles, also known as NFTs, via the Crypto.com platform.
